Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

How Pawped pays the bills. Pawped is free for readers. We support the site through two revenue sources, both of which we disclose openly here:

1. Affiliate links

Some links on Pawped — particularly to retailers like Amazon, Chewy, DNA test makers, and pet insurance providers — are affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, Pawped may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We are also a participant in the Chewy affiliate program and may partner with other pet-related affiliate networks from time to time.

Editorial independence. Affiliate commissions never influence which breeds, products, or services we recommend. Recommendations are made by our editorial team based on research and broadly recognized industry guidance. We will sometimes link to a product we recommend even when we earn no commission on it.

2. Display advertising

We may display advertising provided by third-party ad networks on adult-focused sections of the site. Advertising is never shown in the Kids Zone or on content tagged as for children, and we do not knowingly serve personalized advertising to anyone we know to be under 13.

What we do not do

  • We do not accept payment to publish positive coverage of a breed, breeder, or product.
  • We do not sell user data.
  • We do not publish medical, diagnostic, or prescription advice. For health concerns about your pet, please consult a licensed veterinarian.
